Access to quality tertiary education remains out of reach for thousands of brilliant young
people across Benue Zone A due to financial constraints. The campaign's Education Pillar directly
addresses this by committing to a universal bursary scheme funded through the Senator's constituency
allocation and direct engagement with the federal education trust fund.

How the Bursary Works

  • Every indigene of Zone A (from any of the 11 LGAs) who gains admission to a federal or
state tertiary institution will receive a bursary

  • Amount: ₦150,000 per year for undergraduates; ₦200,000 per year for postgraduates

  • Application via a transparent online portal — no connections required

  • Renewable annually upon evidence of academic progress

Investment in the Future

The campaign estimates over 8,000 students from Zone A are currently enrolled in tertiary
institutions. The scheme would reach every one of them.

"Education is not a privilege for the children of the wealthy. In my Senate, every
child from Zone A who earns a university place will have a senator who helps them stay there."
